Colette has just accepted an invitation to join the International Organising Committee for the Asian Conference on Molecular Magnetism, ACMM2020, to be held in Fukuoka, Japan, March 8-11, 2020.
On a roll…
Colette has also been invited to deliver a keynote lecture at the forthcoming RACI Inorganic Chemistry Division Conference (IC19) in Wollongong in December.
Colette has been invited to deliver a keynote lecture at the forthcoming 7th Asian Conference on Coordination Chemistry (ACCC7) in Kuala Lumpur.
Congratulations to Gemma Gransbury on winning the first place poster prize at the Chemical Communications “Chemistry for Global Challenges” Symposium at RMIT. Gemma is pictured with Philippa Ross (Executive Editor of Chemical Communications, Chemical Society Reviews and Faraday Transaction) and Sarmi Munuganti from Monash University, who won the runner-up prize.
Congratulations to Gemma on the publication of the first article from her PhD: “DFT prediction and experimental investigation of valence tautomerism in cobalt-dioxolene complexes”, in Inorganic Chemistry (doi: 10.1021/acs.inorgchem.8b03291) This work was performed in collaboration with scientists from the Australian National University and the University of Florence.
The Boskovic Group warmly welcomes new undergraduate student Vincent Nadurata. Vincent is joining us for semester 1 to undertake research involving the preparation and lanthanoid single-molecule magnets and analogues for inelastic neutron scattering studies.
We are grateful to the ARC for the Award of a 2019 Dicovery Project Grant
“Harnessing redox-active ligands in functional metal complexes”
C. Boskovic, 2019-2021
Congratulations to Boskovic group members Will Reed and Aiden Atkin on the completion of their MSc degrees – both with 1st class Honours. We wish them all the best for the future.
Congratulations to Gemma Gransbury on winning a prize for best poster at the International Conference on Molecule-based Magnets (ICMM2018) in Rio de Janeiro. Gemma gave a flash presentation and poster on her PhD research: “Magnetic Exchange in a Cobalt-Semiquinonate Complex”. Gemma’s attendance at the conference was supported by a Postgraduate Travel Bursary from the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI).
