The Boskovic Group welcomes new Masters students Aiden Atkin and Will Reed.
Congratulations to Michele on the acceptance of his manuscript entitled “Magnetic excitations in polyoxotungstate-supported lanthanoid single-molecule magnets: an inelastic neutron scattering and ab initio study”, for publication in Inorganic Chemistry.
Announced today:
ARC Discovery Project, “Enhancing Lanthanoid Single-Molecule Magnets”, Colette Boskovic; Alessandro Soncini; Keith Murray; Richard Mole.
ARC LIEF Grant, “Molecular Structure Elucidation Facility”, J.White; M.Griffin; C. Boskovic; P. Barnard; J. Dutton; D. Turner; P. Andrews; C. Ritchie; C. Jones; B. Abrahams; K. Murray; S. Batten.
Congratulations to Fateme on the acceptance of her paper “Mixed-metal hybrid polyoxometalates with amino acid ligands: electronic versatility and solution properties” for publication in Inorganic Chemistry.
Congratulations to Olga Drath, who was awarded the Royal Society of Chemistry “Chemical Science” poster prize at the recent “International Conference on Molecule-Based Magnets” in Sendai, Japan. Olga’s poster and flash presentation was entitled “Valence Tautomerism in One Dimensional Coordination Polymers” and Olga’s conference attendance was supported by a Masson Postgraduate Student Travel Award from the School of Chemistry.
Congratulations to Peter McDonald on being awarded the James Cuming Memorial Scholarship, which is based on academic merit in the assessments in Chemistry in the final year of the Bachelor of Science. Peter follows in the footsteps of previous Boskovic Group members who have won this scholarship, including Colette herself and Marcus Giansiracusa.
Congratulations to Gemma Gransbury for winning a prestigious Don Stranks Award at the recent RACI Inorganic Chemistry Division meeting (IC16), held jointly with the International Conference on Organometallic Chemistry (ICOMC) in Melbourne last week. Gemma presented both a talk and poster entitled “Experimental and density functional theory investigation of valence tautomeric complexes”.
Congratulations to Gemma Gransbury who has been awarded a SATS scholarship to attend the International Conference on Molecular Magnetism and Satellite workshops in Japan in September.
Congratulations to Olga on being awarded a Masson Postgraduate Travel Award to help her attend the ICMM and related workshops in Japan.
Congratulations to Olga for being awarded a “Flash Poster Presentation” at the forthcoming 15th International Conference on Molecule-Based Magnets (ICMM16) to be held in Sendai, Japan, in September.
